Four major sights within 200 metres

Four of the most major sights in Stockholm are situated a pleasant walking distance away from one another on beautiful, green Djurgården.


Skansen. Cultural history buildings, animals and beautiful parkland. 
Vasa Museum. Enda örlogsskeppet in sitt paper in the world. Sank in 1628. Today once more a rigged ship.

Stockholm's multicultural centre

Did you know that more than a million people visit Kulturhuset each year? Centre for photography, art, multimedia, music, dance and theatre. All this can be found in the middle of the city, right on Sergels torg.

 

Kulturhuset doesn't only have exhibitions, it also has a tourist office.


City Hall is often used for major celebrations – among other things, winners of the Nobel prize have dinner and dance here.

Don't miss

National Museum. Sweden's biggest art museum, home to everything from Swedish masters such as Zorn and Liljefors to Rembrandt, Rubens, Renoir and Gaugin.


City Hall. Stockholm's political centre, in a grand building dating back to 1923, with Gyllene Salen and Blå Hallen.


Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet. Life, the earth and the universe, looked at in exciting new ways.


The Royal Army Museum may not be veru well-known, but it is an extraordinaryily exciting museum.

Even if you aren't lukcy enough to see the king and queen you can always take a look around the Royal Castle.

Towers and pinnacles

You probably already knew that the Royal castle is in the middle of Stockholm, as well as that the king and queen usually live at Drottningholm's castle. But did you know that there are nine are nine royal castles in and around Stockholm, a World Heritage site and a castle with its own glassworks.


The best views

At Kaknästornet, 155 metres, you can see 60 km away on a clear day. The most beautiful view over the city can be seen from Fjällgatan on Söder and the Gondolen restaurant at Slussen.
