All of Rome is like one gigantic museum. Nowhere else will you find so many historical monuments so close together, and nowhere else do they go to make up such a natural part of busy everyday life. And perhaps the best thing is that most things in both historical Rom and today's world city is that everything is so central that you can see most of it on foot, if you've got a decent pair of shoes and strong legs.
