Nightlife in Riga

A popular way to spend the evening is to watch people and drink beer (the local beer tastes really good!) or, in more stylish locations, champagne (well, sparkling wine for most of us). In the summer, "beer gardens" are popular, with plenty of pubs and bars open all year round).

Rigas Balzams. Specialises in Riga’s national drink. Torna 4.

Aladins. Several locations in the city; open 24 hours a day. Locations include 5 Terbatas.

 

Olympic Casino. Professional and impressive casino at Radisson SAS Daugava Hotel. Kugu 24.

 

Royal Casino. Considered to be Riga’s best casino. Elisabetes 55.

 

Tower Voodoo Casino. In the same premises as the Voodoo night club (see above).

The national opera in Riga is said to be one of Europe’s most exciting opera houses and is bursting with operas and ballets – with everything from classics such as Carmen and Don Quixote to Pippi LongStocking.
