Shopping in Nice

Shopping streets

Jean Medicin. The biggest and best shopping street. Nice Etoile, Morgan, Zara, Sephora.

Rue de France & Rue Massena. Pedestrian streets with nothing but shopping. Lots of shoe shops.

Avenue de Verdun. Luxury shopping. Louis Vuitton, Escada, Hermes, Bally...

Malls and department stores

Galeries Lafayette. Large, historic and luxurious with most of the big brands. Both at Place Massena in the city centre and in Cap 3000.

Nice Etoile. Large mall on several floors. Habitat, Quicksilver, FNAC.

Cap 3000. Large, well-kept mall just past the airport. Zara, Mango, Galleries Lafayette, Morgan.

Food and wine

Alziari. Soaps, oils, olives etc. 14 Rue St-François-de-Paule.

Cours Saleya. Lively fruit, vegetable and flower market. Flea market on Mondays. There are many small food and wine shops in the surrounding quarters.

Hediard. All the delicacies in one spot. Champagne, pâté de foie gras, caviar.

La Ferme fromagère. A fantastic selection of French cheeses.

Maison Auer. Shamelessly good chocolate at shamelessly high prices. 7 Rue St-François-de-Paule.

Terres de Truffes. Restaurant and shop with truffles in all shapes and sizes. 11 Rue St-François-de-Paule.

Voyage interieur. Soaps, oils, ceramics etc. 15 Rue Ponchettes.

Antiques

The flea market. Situated a bit off the beaten track, opposite the old harbour on Quai Lunei. Has both curiosa and antiques. Investigate the small streets nearby as well: Rue Antoine Gautier, Ruse Cassini and Rue Sègurane.
Place du Palais. Now and again there’s an antiques market held between the flower market and the Palais de Justice. There’s a book market on the first and third Saturday each month, art and handicrafts on the second Saturday and antique postcards on the fourth Saturday.
Cours Saleya. On Mondays the flower and fruit market is transformed into flea market with traders from throughout the area.
