Cool kids’ stuff in Nice

Nice itself doesn’t have many attractions specifically for children – not unless you count the long beaches and the Mediterranean that’s so warm you can swim in it for at least eight or nine months of the year. Here are some of Nice’s other attractions for youths and children.

Mini-train. Drives along the beaches and in the old town – read more below Things to see and do in Nice.
Parc des Miniatures. Miniatures of Nice from the Stone Age until the present day. By Imperatrice Eugenie.
The beach promenade. The teenagers in the family usually like to hang out with all the inliners and skateboarders along Promenade des Anglais.

The Riviera, which is close enough for excursions, has more to offer. You can get to many attractions by bus if you don’t have a hire car. Here’s a selection of them:

At the doll museum in Monaco you can see Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly in doll form.

Parc Zoologique. Large zoo with tigers, elephants, monkeys etc. Safari park. Fréjus.
Zoo du Cap Ferrat. Mini zoo in beautiful greenery.

Don’t miss the dolphins and killer whales at Marineland!
