Countryside
Slottsskogen. Enjoy a picnic on the grass, play frisbee golf, have a beer outdoors at Villa Belparc, or wander up to the animal parks with the kids and have a look at the elks and seals.

|
Picturesque
The house of the County Governor on Haga Nygata gives a beautiful insight into what the city looked like before all the demolitions took place. Now full of cafés, restaurants and shops selling curios. Crowded.
|
Budget crossings
Take the tram to Saltholmen and then get on a ferry to the islands. Just two coupons buys you sunshine, swimming and a trip as far as Vrångö.

|
Have lunch
There are plenty of lunch options at the stalls in the covered market. Or tuck into a falafel and take a look at the shops in Kungstorget just outside.
|

|
Go swimming
Visit the naturist beach at Saltholmen. Separate areas for men and women. A "clothed" area is also available on the beach. Enjoy a luxurious swim indoors at Hagabadet (K rated). People who've enjoyed a few drinks swim at Poseidon at night. Not recommended.

Strong beers going back a long way
Beer has been served for 105 years at 7:ans Ölhall. A classic pub that burned down but was rebuilt.. Crowded...

Shellfish
You can't visit the west coast without Räkfrossa! At Restaurang Räkan, you can even sail your own barge. Rumour has it that Kiss came here once after playing in Gothenburg.
