Sport in Copenhagen

Denmark does not have one, but several national sports. Football and handball, spiced up by world and European championship success, as well as cycling, not least, indoor velodrome races.

Swimming

There are many beaches around Copenhagen. Many of them offer activities such as boule, volleyball and surfing.

Football

There is always a festival in the national arena Parken when there is an international match or the pride of the city, FC Copenhagen, is playing.

There are 35 golf courses outside Copenhagen, each with its own distinctive character in terms of design and level of difficulty.

Golf

Copenhagen Golf Club. Top course next to the idyllic Dyrehaven deer park.

Dragör Golf Club. Nice course in a classic fishing village near Kastrup.

Kokkedal Golf Club. Beautiful location between Copenhagen and Elsinore.

Nivå Golf Pay and Play. Near Kokkedals Golfklubb.

Stay in shape at one of the S.A.T.S. gyms, whether it’s for a few days of festivites or work in Copenhagen.

Gyms

Fitnes dk. Most of the exercise equipment you could imagine. Adelgade 5-7 and Amager Boulevard 70.

S.A.T.S. Chain with well-run gym. At, among other places, Gothersgade 8 F and Amager Boulevard 70.

Jogging

Many Copenhageners like to run round the lakes in the heart of the city. If you would like to run a bit further, register for Broloppet, one of the most popular half-marathons in the world. It goes across the Sound Bridge in June every year.
