Magasin du Nord competes with NK in Stockholm for the title of most exclusive shopping in Scandinavia.

Big department stores

Magasin du Nord. The first, and still the largest, department store in Scandinavia. Kongens Nytorv.


Det ny Illum. Marble, enormous glass dome and modern design. Amagertorv.


Field’s. Scandinavia’s biggest and best-stocked shopping centre with the Metro station Ørestad right outside the door.


Fisketorvet Shopping Center. Large central shopping centre. 10 minutes by bus from Rådhuspladsen.


You can find all the big names along Strøget and its parallel and side streets.

The big labels

Prada, Max Mara, Louis Vuitton, Cerutti, Mulberry, Chanel, Karen Millen, Hermès, Boss – you’ll find them all at Strøget and Købmagergade in the city centre, as well as several H&Ms of course.

For the more discerning – more expensive fashions can be found at Adelgade, Grønnegade and Ny Østergade, often in beautiful, old half-timbered houses.
